The Best Butter Animated Cap Pistol
Made by the Ives, Blakeslee Company of Connecticut - 1880's - 5 1/2" Long. Gertrude Hegarty Collection. The graphics that decorate the elongated handle of the gun are very elaborate. When the pistol is operated, one ram rears backwards and then slams the head of the other ram. This is an extremely desirable cap gun, but mechanism needs an adjustment.
