FRENCH M1892 SWORD BAYONET
A French M1892 sword bayonet for the 8 mm. Mannlicher-Berthier M1890 Carabine de Cavalerie (cavalry carbine) and the M1892 and M1916 Mousqueton de Artillerie (artillery carbine). This is a type 2, with a narrow muzzle ring extending over the grip and a lower quillon. There are minor spots of rust on the metal portions of this piece. The wood handle is in good condition, and the spring mechanism bayonet fitting is fully functional. Total length is 20" with a 14" blade.
