FRENCH M1886 SWORD BAYONET
A French Model 1886 sword bayonet and scabbard designed for use with the 8 mm. M1886 Lebel rifle.The M1886 bayonet was the French mainstay during WWI and many were still in service at the Fall of France in 1940. This bayonet has a distinctive cruciform blade, with a brass handle and fully-functioning spring operated bayonet attachment. There is some minor rust spots on the scabbard. Total length of the bayonet is 25" with a 20.5" blade.
