"ETERNAL BUTTERFLY SPIRIT" RARE HANDMADE OJIBWE PRINT, BLAKE DEBASSIGE 1976
"Eternal Butterfly Spirit" a handmade limited edition print by Blake DeBassige of the Ojibwe tribe, native to the Great Lakes region of the US & Canada. Numbered 71/100 and titled and signed by the artist in pencil at the bottom. The piece is also signed in Ojibwe Syllabary in the top right. DeBassige (1956-2022) was known as a woodland artist and painter, and contributed heavily to the infamous Woodland Studios located in Northern Ontario, Canada, a mecca for Ojibwe artists. The artwork in the frame measures 19.25" H x 21.25" W.
