ROLLEIFLEX TWIN-LENS BIOPTIC TLR CAMERA
A beautiful example of a Rolleiflex twin-lens bioptic TLR camera circa 1956 in good overall condition with original lens covers and appears complete. The Rolleiflex TLR was first made in 1927, shortly after the Rolleidoscop, a stereo camera with a focusing reflex viewfinder, and might be seen as derived from it. A prototype TLR camera for 9x12 cm plates, dated to 1920, was made several years earlier, but was never made commercially. Rolleiflex is a long-running and diverse line of high-end cameras, originally made by the German company, Franke & Heidecke, and later Rollei-Werke.
