Nazca Polychrome Pottery Vessel, 200 AD-500 AD
Handmade pottery vessel with a spherical body, rounded base, and pair of matching spouts with bridge handle. Highly burnished surface decorated with red ground. Each side of the bulbous body is painted with anthropomorphic deities. Cat-like heads and snake-like bodies in black, orange, red, cream and gray pigments. Size 7" H x 5 3/4" W
ex-New York, New York collection, ex-Dr. Robert Goodwin, Colgate University, New York, purchased in the 1950's and 1960's.
Condition: Well preserved condition throughout.
