Polish Hussars Lobster Tail Helmet, circa 1800s
Officer helmet featuring a very wide lobster tail rear set of lames covered in rivets. Cheek plates consisting of multiple lames, pierced and riveted together. Protruding brim with numerous rivets and a large nasal bar pierced at its point with an openwork symbol. Skull is a heavy single piece construction with numerous rivets and raised sections. Size 16" H x 17" L x 12" W at widest point (lobster tail)
