The Cars – Self-Titled Debut Album (1978, Elektra Records)
The Cars' self-titled debut album, released in 1978 on Elektra Records, is widely regarded as one of the greatest debut albums in rock history. With hit tracks like Just What I Needed, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Good Times Roll, the album defined the sound of late-'70s and early-'80s new wave. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker, known for his work with Queen, the album blends rock, pop, and synth elements that became a signature for The Cars.

The album cover, designed by the legendary art director and photographer Elliot Gilbert, features a striking image of a woman laughing behind a steering wheel, a visual that has become synonymous with the band's legacy.

This pressing includes the original inner sleeve with additional photos and artwork.

Condition Report:
Vinyl: Shows some smudges from handling (not scratches, just dust from a handprint). Should clean up well with a proper cleaning.
Cover: Shows some light wear on the edges and corners but is in very good condition overall.
Inner Sleeve: Present with minor creasing but intact.
Labels: Clean with no major visible marks.
This is a classic addition to any rock or new wave vinyl collection, featuring some of the most enduring hits of the late 20th century.
