A SOVIET BADGE OF THE MILITARY ENGINEERING ACADEMY
A Soviet silver and enamel badge for graduating from the Military Engineering Academy, 1919. The badge is enclosed in a wreath of laurel and oak branches. Above is a convex scarlet star with a gilded emblem of the USSR. In the center are the monogram letters in Cyrillic: "VIA". Under two crossed hatchets there is a knot and date 1919.
Dimensions: 2 3/8 x 1 7/8 in., (6 x 5 cm.)
