ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE KYATHOS
Near to Epiktetos, ca. 520 - 500 BC
height cm 15; diam. cm 11
With the figure of a Scythian archer, walking to the right with the head turned back, between two large eyes; a panther on each sides of the handle and stylized vegetal shoots in the field. The high ridged handle with a knob on the top.
Provenance. From the R.H.M. collection, London; acquired in the 1980s in Basel, possibly from Kunst- und Antiquitätenmesse AG.
