Sefer Likutim Yekarim – An Early Chassidic Work With Teachings of the Ba’al Shem Tov, Circa 1800-1820.
An early edition of Sefer Likutim Yekarim, which contains anthologies of many of the founders of Chassidus, including the Ba’al Shem Tov and his greatest disciples, such as: R. Dov Ber Maggid of Mezeritch, R. Menachem Mendel of Premishlan and R. Yechiel Michel Maggid of Zlotchov.
This work was first published in Lemberg in 1792, however this is the first edition to include additional material from R. Meshulam Feivush Heller of Zebarezh (1740-1795). He was a descendant of R. Yom Tov Lipman Heller and a disciple of the Maggid of Mezritch. He quotes here many Torah thoughts personally heard from him, even giving dates and towns where they were said.
No printing place or date given, and opinions differ with regard to exact printing palace and year. The common consensus is that it was published around 1800 at Zolkiew or Ostroha. A very rare edition.
In overall good condition. Paper slightly browned. Crude paper repairs on pp. 1-3, affecting several letters of text, with loss.
37,39-42 pp.
Vinograd, Zolkiew 553. See also: Mehlman – Ginzei Yisrael 1155, Stefansky Chassidus 304.
