Hasui Kawase "Temple" Shin-hanga Print
Hasui Kawase (Japanese, 1883-1957). Modern Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print titled "Temple, " depicting groups of figures walking through the doorways of a temple. Marked in the plate along the lower right with Kawase's seal. With further Japanese inscriptions to the left margin. A later English inscription to the upper right corner reads "Hasui - 4012 -1." Inkstamped to the lower edge of the verso "Original Works of Art."
