Collection of Undivided Postcards – Holidays and Customs
25 undivided postcards. Published by P. G. i. F. [Paul Grodel], J. Hofmann/Z. Moch and other publishers. Frankfurt/Paris, Krakow and elsewhere. [Early 20th century].
On most of the postcards appear reproductions of paintings by various artists, including Moritz Oppenheim, Hermann Junker and Hugo Elkan, depicting views from Jewish life: a Jewish wedding, "Pidyon Haben", Havdalah, lighting Hanukkah candles, Kaparot ceremony, Yom Kippur, Tisha BeAv and more. Alongside these postcards appear two postcards with humorous illustrations portraying a Jewish wedding.
Average size: 9X14 cm. Good-fair condition. Creases, stains and minor blemishes. Three postcards were used.
