Illustrated Esther Scroll on Parchment – “HaMelech” Scroll

Large Esther Scroll on parchment, illustrated. Ashkenazi script – “Ha’Ari” (Hassidic). [Israel, 20th century]. Ink and paint on parchment. “HaMelech “ scroll [most of the columns begin with the word “HaMelech”]. Scroll’s text is bordered with illustrations within medallions. The scroll opens with a large illustration of Esther, standing in front of Ahasuerus; above it an illustration of Mordechai led by Haman. Additional medallions at the end of the scroll portray Ahasuerus, Vashti, Haman, Bigthan and Teresh. Height of parchment: 50 cm. 42 lines per column. Very good condition. Contained in a cardboard case.
