Esther Scroll on parchment. Sephardic script. [19th/20th century]. “Hamelech” scroll [most columns begin with the word “HaMelech”]. Rolled on a carved “Etz Chaim”. A parchment strap for binding the scroll. An illustrated parchment leaf is enclosed, with the scroll’s blessings and with the inscription in Hebrew: “the scroll is a gift to the nice and pleasant groom Haim Raphael Hana…”. Height of parchment: 16 cm. 21 lines per column. Max. Height 38.5 cm. Parchment leaf: 12 cm. overall good condition. Stains and wear.
