CUI CESAR: (1835-1918) Russian Composer, a member of The Five Group. An excellent A.M.Q.S., `C. Cui´, in Cyrillic, one page, oblong 8vo card, Vichy, 18th June 1895, in Cyrillic. Cui has carefully penned a 14 bars musical quotation on two staves, adding the tempo `Moderato´, and annotating beneath `Excerpt from Prelude of opera Le Flibustier´ in his hand. Extremely small overall age wear and toning, otherwise VG £400-600 Le Flibustier (1894) or The Pirate is a comédie lyrique in three acts by Cui.
