The Vulgate, Latin edition of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, with many in-text woodcuts and an engraved title page by Isabella Piccini. Historiated initials.
[1] engraved title page, [11] leaves, 964 [i.e. 944], [40] pp, 26 cm. Good condition. Stains, including many dampstains. Several closed and open tears. Partly erased notations and inked stamp to lower part of engraved title page. Handwritten marginal notations to a few leaves. Back endpaper restored with paper. Original vellum binding, damaged and restored (with new vellum).
