Ageev Mikhail Sergeyevich (1918-2007).
Soviet painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1947). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980). People's Artist of Russia (1999). He graduated from the Ivanovo Art College. Among his teachers were such major masters as M.S. Pyrin and A.M. Kuznetsov. The main theme of the work of Mikhail Ageev was the landscape of central Russia. His writing style is characterized by a colorful palette built on the contrasts of color and plastics. Member of numerous zonal, republican and all-Union exhibitions. The works are stored in the State Russian Museum and in many regional museums.
