18th Century Peruvian School - Holy Child
Dimensions: 36 × 23 cm.
Oil on canvas. The Holy Child, delicately portrayed in this drawing from the 18th-century Peruvian school, reflects an evocation of colonial aesthetics. With soft strokes and a muted color palette, the figure of the Child, holding a small cross, radiates an almost mystical serenity. This drawing, despite its execution in modern times, manages to capture the spiritual purity and tenderness that define the representation of the Child Jesus in the iconographic tradition of the viceroyalty.
