Original Chinese Painting - Peu Mu Kung (Great Goddess of Ursa Major - Bear Constellation)
This extraordinary original painting was part of a Chinese Album that focused on Gods, Celestials, and Immortal Beings. The paintings were done with ink and color in the 19th century on paper. Many of the illustrations feature gold and silver highlights. The album included depictions of Daoist deities including the Empress of Heaven (Tianhou), Chinese mythological figures such as the Dragon King of the East Sea (Donghai Longwang), and Buddhiste deities such as Big-bellied Buddha (Dadufo). Many of the illustrations will come with a slip identifying the figures in Spanish from a previous owner.
The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There may be a few minor imperfections or light marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
