Laurie & Whittle - 6 Maps of European & African Countries
This exceptional map is from the very handsome atlas entitled A New and Elegant Imperial Sheet Atlas; Comprehending general and particular maps of every part of the world... The work was published by Robert Holmes Laurie and James Whittle in London in 1814. Each engraving has original hand-coloring and is on a large fold out sheet. The maps are after the work of cartographers d'Anville, Dunn, Jefferys, Kitchin and others. The map itself is dated to 1794.
Paper Size: ~ 28 1/2" by 20" (Fold Out); One measures ~ 29" by 22 1/4" (Fold Out)
The work is in fair to very good condition overall. There is some chipping or wear at the edges. There may be some faint toning or offset to the paper. There may be some archival tape to folds at verso. There may be some faint offset or minor imperfections to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
