Rabbi Benjamin Zeev Benedict (1913 - 2002) was the rabbi of the Ahuza neighborhood of Haifa for 45 years, an academic and researcher in Jewish studies, was the Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv for only a year (1948-1949).
Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano (1880-1960) was a rabbi, an arbiter and an Israeli public figure, who served as the rabbi of the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and minister of religions in the 8th and 9th Israeli governments.
