הרב שמעון הלפרין (היילפרין) נולד בשנת תרל"ט, היה מו"ץ בולינא ועלה לארץ ישראל בשנת תרפ"ח. פרסם מאמרים רבים וערך את הקובץ 'תל תלפיות', חיבר את הספרים מטה שמעון.
