James Reeve Stuart Oil on Canvas Three Children
James Reeve Stuart (American, 1834-1915). Oil on canvas, three children. Signed and dated lower right J.R. Stuart 1886. 25 3/4" x 29 3/4" (with frame 32" x 36"). Vertical "seams" the height of the canvas on left and rights sides, paint loss at each seam, below signature, lower left, and along bottom edge; some paint loss at edges from frame, crazing throughout, apparent repairs lower right and next to boy's arm on left, some inpainting to faces, hands and arms; minor chips and losses to frame.
