Avudraham. Berdichev? 1818
Sefer Avudraham al HaTefillot - one of the most important books by the Early Authorities [הראשונים]. With an approbation by Rabbi Yisrael son of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev. Printed without printing location detail. On the title page: "As written in Prague."
Before us is an uncommon edition of Sefer Avudraham. Bibliographers are divided as to where this edition was printed. Ya'ari wrote that it was printed in Berdichev. In contrast, Ginzei Yisrael-Osef Mehlman hypothesizes that it was written in Sudilkev. Indeed, there is a similar edition known in which Sudilkev is written on the title page, but it does not contain the approbation. Refer also to Ginzei Yisrael 605.
[2] 118 leaves, 20.5 cm.
Fine condition: Stamp. Aging stains. Minimal worming perforations. Reinforcement to the margins of the title page. Lacking back jacket cover.
