Duo tituli Thalmvdici Sanhedrin et Maccoth: cum excerptis ex utriusque Gemara, versa, & annotationibus, depromtis maximam partem, ex Ebraeorum commentariis by Ioanne Coch. Amsterdam, 1629.


Tractates Sanhedrin and Makkot with "Emunot,  aggadot and midrashim compiled from the gemara." Latin translation in parallel columns with elucidation in Latin by Johannes Coch.


At the beginning of the book there is a preface by the author and a letter and poems in his praise, in Latin, in Greek and in Hebrew. The Hebrew poem, praising Jewish wisdom: "חכמת ישראל בנתה בית על הר אשר ראשו רם משאר הרים" by Johannes Presius; and another poem in Hebrew, praising a teacher: "הבה ידי חשקי גם נעלה מורי" by Hyrkanus of Artinius in honor of Johannes Coch.


[31], 436, [4] pp, 18 cm. Complete copy with all leaves of the introduction.

Fine condition: Aging stains. Worming perforations. Restoration of the white margins of the title page. Repaired tears in the margins of the first 8 leaves with damage to three words. Original leather binding, dismantled.
