A Collection of Receipts [6] from the "Etz Chaim" Yeshiva, Signed by Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer
6 receipts signed with the handwritten signature of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer.
Receipts from the "Etz Chaim" yeshiva, which he headed, from 1943-1950. All dated and signed with the handwritten signature of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. Two are addressed to Rabbi Nissan Aharon Tikochinsky, two to Rabbi Raphael Rabinowitz, the rest to Rabbi Zalman Chaim Eisenstein and Rabbi Zalman Zelnik. Four of them have a Palestine stamp.
Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer [1870-1953], one of the greatest Rabbis of his generation. Served as Rabbi of Slutsk, and later as Rosh Yeshiva of the Etz Chaim yeshiva in Jerusalem. Author of the book 'Even HaEzel'.
