Beautiful Meggilat Esther. Beit Yosef [Ashkenazic] script." Beautiful graphic illustration at the top of each column, produced with the scribe's quill, along with additional decorations on the page with the list of Haman's ten sons. [Europe, 19th century.]
The scroll was written very elegantly on thick, shiny, high-quality parchment, in especially wide columns.
Dimensions: 2 sheets, 40 lines in each column. Sheet width: approximately 31 cm. Text height: approximately 27 cm. Kosher megillah.
Fine condition. Aging stains. Isolated tears in the margins at the beginning of the meggilah, without damage to the text.
