Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman (17th of Keslo 5697, November 22, 1896 – 29th of Nisan 5739, April 26, 1979) was a fourth-generation Rebbe of the Sadigura Hasiddut. he was known as the "Kenesset Mordechai".

At the outbreak of the First World War he fled to Vienna together with the other Rebbe's of the Ruzin dynasty. After the war he was active in Agudat Israel, and in the first great convention, at the age of 26, he was appointed a member of the "Va'ad haPo'el haOlami" of Agudat Israel and the president of the Torah Fund. After the war, he used To make journeys throughout Galicia, Bukovina and Poland to visit his followers, and in particular in the center of Galicia where the followers of Sadigura were concentrated. In 1923, he established the Yeshiva "Mishivat Nefesh" in Peshmishel. The yeshiva also took care of food and sleep for the students. Later, a branch of the yeshiva was founded in Josefov headed by the city's rabbi, Rabbi Shimon Parzonchevsky, who was a Chassid of Sadigura.

In the year 1925 he conducted a campaign for the benefit of the Torah Fund in Hamburg. He was received with respect by the city's rabbi Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Spitzer. His home in Vienna was one of Agudath Israel's centers, and he was one of the leaders of the movement, and members of the Tsa"i and Pa"i movements were in constant contact with him.

In the year 1925, Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef began sending Hasidim to the Land of Israel. In the year 1933, he visited the country and toured the settlements and kibbutzim, and in Lag B'Omer even lit the bonfire with the traditional lighting in Miron. He celebrated Shavuot at the Tiferet Yisrael Synagogue in the Old City of Jerusalem. On his return To Galicia, he sent a group of Hassidim from Turkey to Israel, and they settled in Netanya where they opened a Beit Hasidim.

In 1934 he moved to Pshemishel and established his court there. In the third great convention in 1937 he was one of the leaders in favor of Agudath Israel's support for the Jewish state.

In Adar 1939 he visited the Land of Israel again, and on the advice of his uncle Rabbi Israel of Hosiatin, he settled there in the city of Tel Aviv.

In 1957 he moved to the United States, where his eldest son Israel Aharon, who had already lived there before, helped him in opening a beit midrash in the Crown Heights neighborhood. Rabbi Eliezer Zusia Portugal and Rabbi Gedaliah Shur came to his court there. After failing to gather a large congregation around him, he returned to in the early 1960s to Israel. After the death of his uncle, Rabbi Avraham Ya'akov (the second), childless, he became the main Rebbe of Sadigura. Before that, he was called the Rebbe of Pshemishel.

רבי מרדכי שלום יוסף פרידמן (י"ז בכסלו תרנ"ז, 22 בנובמבר 1896 – כ"ט בניסן תשל"ט, 26 באפריל 1979) היה אדמו"ר בדור הרביעי לחסידות סדיגורה. מכונה ה"כנסת מרדכי".

בפרוץ מלחמת העולם הראשונה נמלט לווינה יחד עם שאר אדמו"רי בית רוז'ין. לאחר המלחמה היה פעיל באגודת ישראל, ובכנסייה הגדולה הראשונה, בגיל 26, מונה לחבר ב"ועד הפועל העולמי" של אגודת ישראל ולנשיא קרן התורה. לאחר המלחמה, נהג לערוך מסעות ברחבי גליציה, בוקובינה ופולין לבקר את חסידיו, ובפרט במרכז גליציה בה התרכזו חסידי סדיגורה. בשנת תרפ"ג (1923) הקים את ישיבת "משיבת נפש" בפשמישל. בשם הישיבה נרמז שמו (מש"י). הישיבה דאגה גם למזון ושינה לתלמידים. בהמשך נוסד סניף לישיבה ביוזפוב בראשות רב העיר הרב שמעון פרזונצ'בסקי שהיה חסיד סדיגורה.

בשנת תרפ"ה ערך מסע לטובת קרן התורה בהמבורג. הוא התקבל בכבוד על ידי רב העיר אברהם שמואל בנימין שפיצר. בכנסייה הגדולה השנייה בשנת תרפ"ט, מונה לחבר מועצת גדולי התורה. ביתו בווינה היה אחד ממרכזי אגודת ישראל, והוא היה ממנהיגי התנועה וחברי תנועות צא"י ופא"י עמדו עמו בקשר שוטף.

בשנת תרפ"ה החל רבי מרדכי שלום יוסף לשלוח חסידים לארץ ישראל. בשנת תרצ"ג ביקר בארץ וערך סיור במושבות ובקיבוצים, ובל"ג בעומר אף הדליק את המדורה בהדלקה המסורתית במירון. את חג השבועות עשה בבית הכנסת תפארת ישראל בעיר העתיקה בירושלים. בחזרתו לגליציה, שלח קבוצת חסידים מטורקה לארץ ישראל, והם התיישבו בנתניה בה פתחו בית חסידים.

בשנת תרצ"ד עבר לפשמישל והקים בה את חצרו. בכנסייה הגדולה השלישית בשנת תרצ"ז היה מראשי המצדדים בתמיכת אגודת ישראל במדינת היהודים.

באדר תרצ"ט (1939) ביקר שוב בארץ ישראל, ובעצת דודו רבי ישראל מהוסיאטין, השתקע בה והתיישב בתל אביב.

בשנת תשט"ז עבר לארצות הברית, שם סייע לו בנו הבכור ישראל אהרן, שכבר גר שם קודם לכן, בפתיחת בית מדרש בשכונת קראון הייטס. לחצרו שם הגיעו רבי אליעזר זוסיא פורטוגל והרב גדליה שור. לאחר שלא הצליח לקבץ סביבו ציבור גדול, חזר בראשית שנות השישים לישראל. לאחר פטירת דודו, הרב אברהם יעקב (השני), ללא ילדים, הוא הפך לאדמו"ר העיקרי מסדיגורה. קודם לכן כונה האדמו"ר מפשמישל.
